To report public sewer backups into dwellings or the street, call the Sanitation Districts at (562) 437-6520 or (562) 437-1881 at any hour. Staff is available day and night to check the main sewer line.

If the blockage is in your sewer pipes, you will need to call a plumber to clear the line. The Sanitation Districts do not pay for improvements or repairs made to private properties.
