Connection Fee Ordinance
The Connection Fee Ordinance prescribes fees for adding two types of burdens on the sewerage system: (1) connecting a parcel or an industrial operation directly or indirectly to the Sanitation Districts’ sewerage system for the first time, and/or (2) increasing strength and/or quantity of wastewater attributable to a connected parcel or industrial operation. Of the 24 independent special districts administered by the Sanitation Districts, 23 have adopted its own Connection Fee Ordinance based on unit rate charges unique to each respective District.
