The Southeast Resource Recovery Facility (SERRF) is located in the City of Long Beach at 120 Pier S Avenue, west of the Terminal Island Freeway, just north of Ocean Boulevard.
OPERATION:
This facility is now closed as of January 31, 2024. The facility was owned by a separate authority created by a joint powers agreement between the Sanitation Districts and the City of Long Beach, but operated by a private company under contract. The facility accepted only non-hazardous municipal solid waste. Disposal of liquid or hazardous waste was not allowed.
