The Scholl Canyon Landfill is located in the City of Glendale, just north of the CA-134 Ventura Freeway.
Hours of Operation
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Saturday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Closed on Sunday and major holidays
This site accepts:
- Clean dirt with the exception of dirt from bottom dump trucks. Dirt loads from bottom dump trucks are prohibited at Scholl Canyon Landfill. Please call (818) 243-9779, to obtain more detailed information on the Sanitation Districts' criteria for accepting clean dirt at this landfill.
- Clean asphalt
- Green waste
Payment at the scales must be in cash, credit card (MasterCard, American Express, & Discover Card only), debit card, or by pre-arranged credit. No checks are accepted. All disposal rates, excluding green waste rates, include state, county, and appropriate local fees and taxes.
Restricted Wasteshed
An ordinance passed by the City of Glendale limits disposal at the landfill to solid waste generated within the Los Angeles County incorporated cities of Glendale, La Cañada Flintridge, Pasadena, South Pasadena, San Marino, Sierra Madre; the Los Angeles County unincorporated communities known as Altadena, La Crescenta, Montrose; the unincorporated area bordered by the cities of San Gabriel, Rosemead, Temple City, Arcadia, and Pasadena; the unincorporated area immediately to the north of Arcadia and Pasadena; and the unincorporated area immediately to the north of the City of San Marino bordered by the City of Pasadena on the west, north and east sides.
