LONG BEACH WATER RECLAMATION PLANT CONCRETE AND PROTECTIVE LINING REPAIR-PHASE II(Mandatory walk-through location: 7400 E. Willow Street, Long Beach, CA 90815) — The project will repair corroded concrete surfaces and replace the plastic lining in an influent pump station wetwell and tank channels; replace aluminum odor control covers; repair concrete walls; replace return activated sludge piping; and all other appurtenant work. The project will require extensive by-pass pumping systems.
PUENTE HILLS MATERIALS RECOVERY FACILITY STORM WATER CAPTURE(Mandatory walk-through location: Puente Hills Materials Recovery Facility, 2808 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, CA 90601) — The work includes installation of four storm water lift stations, one storm water storage basin, transfer pumps, valves and piping, instrumentations, and all appurtenant work.
POMONA PUMPING PLANT NO. 4 FACILITY UPGRADES(Mandatory walk-through location: 2860 Ficus Street, Pomona, California 91766) — The work consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor for removal of trees, demolition of the existing concrete pavement, piping, three dry-pit sewage pumps, a gas engine, and electrical equipment; modifications of the drywell access; installation of three new sewage pumps and associated piping; construction of new electrical equipment and control panels; installation of a District-furnished emergency generator; installation of a security system and wrought-iron fence around the perimeter of the property, and all appurtenant work.
JOINT OUTFALL "C" UNIT 3A TRUNK SEWER REHABILITATION BETWEEN MANHOLES C67 AND C69(Mandatory walk-through location: 1238 W. 16th Street, Long Beach, California 90815) — The project consists of the rehabilitation of approximately 1,120 linear feet of 72-inch diameter reinforced concrete pipe sewer by sliplining with fiberglass reinforced pipe, including rehabilitation and relocation of appurtenant structures. The project begins in Gaylord Street approximately 60 feet west of Gale Avenue, then proceeds easterly in Gaylord Street and under the 710 Freeway, then northeasterly under the Los Angeles River, ending on the east side of the Los Angeles River, all within the City of Long Beach. (TG 795-B5, C5)
SANTA FE STREET RELIEF TRUNK SEWER REHABILITATION BETWEEN MH 18 0402 AND MH 18 0401A — The project consists of rehabilitation of approximately 290 feet of existing 15-inch diameter non-reinforced concrete pipe (NRCP), and all appurtenant work. The project is located in unincorporated Los Angeles County known as South Whittier-Sunshine Acres in Victoria Avenue near Devillo Drive.
SPADRA LANDFILL CONTROL BUILDING POWER SERVICE MODIFICATINS(Mandatory walk-through location: 4125 W. Valley Boulevard, Walnut CA 91789) — The work consists of installation of a new power service low-voltage switchboard, interconnection of existing loads with the new power service switchboard and construction of underground duct banks, and all appurtenant work.
PLAZA TRUNK SEWER REHABILITATION(Mandatory walk-through location: At Manhole 30-279) — The work consists of rehabilitating approximately 2,014 feet of existing 10-inch diameter vitrified clay pipe (VCP) and approximately1,514 feet of existing 10- and 12-inch diameter non-reinforced concrete pipe (NRCP) on the Plaza Trunk Sewer and Malaga Cove Trunk Sewer with cured-in-place pipe liners. The project also includes the rehabilitation of twenty-three (23) existing manholes with calcium aluminate cement, and all appurtenant work. The project begins approximately 500 feet west of Palos Verdes Boulevard, then southeasterly to the intersection of Palos Verdes Drive North and Palos Verdes Drive West, then southwesterly to the intersection of Via Corta and Via Del Puente through private property and public right of way. The project begins again in Via Almar approximately 1,000 feet east of Via Arroyo, then westerly in Via Almar to the intersection with Via Arroyo, all within the City of Palos Verdes Estates.
SAN JOSE CREEK EAST WATER RECLAMATION PLANT STAGE TWO RETURN ACTIVATED SLUDGE COLLECTION PIPING REPLACEMENT(Not Mandatory walk-through location: San Jose Creek Water Reclamation Plant, 1965 S. Workman Mill Rd., Whittier, CA. 90601) — The project consists of replacing approximately 325 linear feet of carbon steel return activated sludge (RAS) piping with 24-inch and 30-inch diameter fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) piping; installation of all associated mechanical equipment and piping; demolition and/or modification of existing piping and all associated equipment, and all appurtenant work.
